Get ready for an incredible trail running experience at the Rising Sun Country Parks in September 2025!Located 5 miles North East of Newcastle city centre in the heart of North Tyneside, the 10km trail run offers an exhilarating challenge for runners of all levels – whether you’re prepping for a half marathon, full marathon or just looking for an adventure.
The 10km trail route winds its way through the Grasslands, woodlands, and nature reserve of the Country Park. The trails, a mix of marked and unmarked paths, will take you past diverse forest habitats. As you run, keep an eye out for local wildlife and be prepared for a few steep inclines, wet patches, and muddy sections that will test your legs!
Canicross - This event is Canicross friendly, so our four legged friends can join the fun. We allow one controlled dog per runner.
