Join us in Essex for a community watch party of Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment.
This special livestream concert celebrates the freedoms of speech, religion, press, assembly, and protest through music, community, and shared action. Featuring performers including Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, Broadway Inspirational Voices, and more, communities across the country will gather to watch together and celebrate the freedoms that help make our democracy possible.
Bring a craft you're working on, pull up a chair at the puzzle table, or pick up a craft kit to create while you watch. Sing along, connect with your neighbors, and spend an evening reveling in community, creativity, and the work of building a better tomorrow today.
Event starts at 7:00 PM. The livestream concert begins at 7:30 PM and runs approximately 90 minutes.
Feel free to come hang out early or pop in and check it out.
All who choose kindness are welcome.
This is a peaceful, nonviolent gathering. We ask everyone to treat one another with respect, help de-escalate disagreements, and follow all applicable laws.
