Join the Alabama Women’s Commission for Rise & Thrive 2027: Take Your Seat, a statewide gathering celebrating women’s leadership, resilience, purpose, and the next generation of Alabama leaders.
This year’s event will feature Emmy-winning sportscaster and advocate Lauren Sisler, presenting a customized version of her keynote, Becoming Shatterproof: Women Taking the Lead. Through honest storytelling and practical insight, Lauren will encourage women to find strength in their stories, lead with courage, and use their influence to create opportunities for others.
Rise & Thrive brings together women from across Alabama, including legislative members, state-agency staff, corporate and nonprofit leaders, educators, students, and community leaders. Guests will enjoy networking, lunch, and an inspiring keynote designed for women of all ages and stages of leadership.
The event will also welcome invited high school and college women through the Future Leaders initiative. Following the public program, these young women will participate in a special moderated conversation with Lauren, giving them the opportunity to ask questions and learn directly from her experiences.
