Would you like to do something tangible this year with your family, friends and church? We are sponsoring a Rise Against Hunger event. This organization works in countries worldwide, targeting communities facing high rates of food insecurity. Our event will pack 10,000 food packets consisting of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a micronutrient packet. This event is suitable for ages 3 and up. There will be sitting jobs, active jobs and counting jobs for the youngest to help in loading boxes with completed packets.
As well as physical support, we need your financial support to raise the funds to pack these meals, $4,250 will be needed for the 10,000 meals. Please use the QR code (click on the link below) to donate and to sign up for the event. Invite your neighbors and friends! You can also donate through the church if you prefer, please put Rise Against Hunger in the memo line. If we get enough volunteers and donations by mid-January, we can grow the event in increments of 5,000 meals, so please do not delay in your decision to participate.
