Rise Above is a Sheriff's program designed to help individuals, especially youth, overcome challenges through empowerment, encouraging participants to transcend difficult circumstances and make positive life choices. Rise Above promotes healthy, positive activities and community engagement. Sessions will be held every Tuesday night for 8 weeks. What Activities and Topics are included?
Week 1: Introduction— Meet our deputies, learn about the program, and play fun games.
Week 2: Gang Prevention - Learn about the dangers of gangs.
Week 3: Physical Wellness – Discover healthy habits.
Week 4: Mental Wellness – Focus on mental health.
Week 5: Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco- Awareness sessions.
Week 6: RESPECT Project – Explore this vital program with a facility tour.
Week 7: Sports Activity - Engage in fun sports drills.
Week 8: Graduation – Celebrate achievements with a special graduation ceremony.
