M eet your teacher
This course is led by Sam Alexander-Vasey, a qualified yoga and qigong teacher who is currently training in Yoga Therapy. Like many people, Sam discovered yoga at a challenging time in her life and found it provided a much-needed opportunity to quiet a busy and anxious mind, reconnect with her body and experience a sense of peacefulness that was otherwise allusive. Following a 16-year career in charity leadership, she now devotes her time to supporting people from all walks of life to gain the benefits of yoga.
Sam’s teaching style is based on curiosity, exploration and playfulness. She believes that yoga is a wonderful way for people to connect with their innate wisdom and peacefulness and can be a welcome relief from the pressure and expectations inherent in daily life. As such, she guides students to explore yoga postures and breathing in the way that works for them, focusing more on their inner experience, than making their body fit a prescribed (& often unattainable!) shape.
