RIOS x SII Community Open House

We warmly invite you to join us at the RIOS’ Social Impact Initiative (SII) Community Open House at our Expo Office. Join us for an afternoon of family-friendly fun featuring:

• Music and community mingling over refreshments
• Hands-on design activities for all ages
• Opportunities to learn about and connect with local organizations
• 'Planting Seeds' community panel (more info below)
• Art exhibiton (more info below)

Planting Seeds: How We Gather in Public Spaces

1pm - 2pm

As part of the Open House, we will be hosting a panel centered on the topic of "How public spaces shape the ways we connect with one another."

This community panel series will serve to encourage a dialogue on critical urban social issues important to RIOS and our neighbors, featuring insights from local voices and experts. By fostering diverse conversations related to design and beyond, we aim to learn from community stakeholders, shape shared social aspirations, and promote a more informed, connected community.

Art Exhibition

We are excited to include an art exhibition as part of this event! The exhibition aims to provide another avenue of reflection for how public space can be a stage for resistance and connection.
