ANNOUNCING ~ Home Video Day 2026! Taking place in Downtown Los Angeles at LAPL Central Branch! Featuring home videos on the big screen, archivist talks, highlights from home media archives and more! In the beautiful Mark Taper Auditorium!

Every year T.A.P.E. Los Angeles gathers around one of the richest historical records of our lives - our personal home video collections! We celebrate these physical objects by bringing them out into the present for playback and enjoyment with our closest loved ones.

By gathering around the VCR, taking care of our collections through inspection, and feeling empowered with options and tools for preservation, TAPE LA hopes to encourage and prolong home archives across southern California and beyond.

TAPE offers resources by gathering together to share tips for preservation and to help eachother with our unique home archive projects. Questions about digital preservation always welcome - chat with archivists about organizing and preserving your cell phone photos and videos as well!
