This will be the 3rd-ever conference dedicated to r(20) families across the world – you don’t want to miss this.
We have a full program planned including updates on r(20) research projects from eminent speakers, Q&A with healthcare professionals, interative workshops, and fun activities for all the family...and not forgetting the unique opportunity to spend lots of time with other r(20) families going through very similar challenges.

We strongly encourage you to attend the whole weekend to get the most out of the event.
We will be based at the University of Warwick Conference Centre with onsite hotel, located near Coventry city centre. The hotel is within reach of Birmingham UK airport and mainline rail stations.
FAQs
Can I take part?
Yes, this event is open to people living with r(20) and their families. We also welcome healthcare professionals and industry/pharma companies with an interest in complex epilepsy.
As spaces are limited, places will be given to those with r(20) and their immediate family as a priority.
What does the weekend cost?
Tickets are FREE to individuals living with r(20). We ask that family members purchase a ticket, priced at £10 per person. Your ticket allows you to attend the whole weekend event, including accommodation (1 room per family), food/beverages, speaker sessions and fun!
Families are responsible for their own transport costs/tofrom the event.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is free parking at the venue.
Do I need to book a hotel reservation?
We have mulitple rooms reserved for this event at the onsite hotel. Subject to availability (see below), one room will be made available per family FREE OF CHARGE for FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT, with additional rooms charged to you as required. There are a selection of single, twin/double and family (2 adults+1 child) rooms available allocated on a first-come, first served basis. We will try our best to accommodate your requirements. Do I need to pay for hotel accommodation?
Ring20 will make a contribution towards hotel room costs, with 20 hotel rooms being made available to the first 20 r(20) families who register AT NO COST - one room allocation per r(20) family attending for 2 nights (Fri and Sat). Additional rooms are available at the hotel at your own cost.
Do I need to stay for the whole weekend?
We encourage our families to spend the weekend with us, however if you live close by and/or can only attend for 1 day , then you can join us for as much of the event as is possible for you. Please complete your anticipated arrival and departure date on the order form.
Is the event suitable for all the family?
We are putting together a program that we hope will have something for all ages and abilities. Please note: parents/carers will remain the responsibility of their own children at all times.
Is food and drink included?
Catering will be provided throughout the duration event. Please notify us of any dietary requirements on the order form.
Can I join online?
We are reviewing whether it is possible to livestream the main presentations on the Saturday – to be confirmed. If so, we will provide details of how you can register to participate live online. PLEASE NOTE that due to costs and logisitics, this may not be possible.
Will the main event be recorded?
Yes, we will be recording the sessions on the Saturday during the day so that we can share them on our website and YouTube channel after the event.

I would like to attend, but I would need some additional help?
We want this event to be open to ANY r(20) family who would like to attend. If for any reason e.g. financial or logistically, it would be difficult for you to attend, but you would raelly like to participate, please do contact us in confidence to see if we can help.
