This is a friendly reminder that our next scheduled General Meeting will be held on October 8th, 2025 from 7pm - 9pm at The Scottish Rite of Providence in Cranston RI🍂🧡🍂
A Spook-Tacular & Extraterrestrial Presentation that will start off the fall season will be presented by RIMH very own Webmaster, Kelly F.!👻🧙🏼‍♂️🪐👽
It came from outer space! RIMH webmaster Kelly F. will be presenting “Extraterrestrial Geologic Oddities”. Ever heard of a planet that rains diamonds? What about the unique patterns of meteorites impossible to replicate by scientists? Or even the potential geologic evidence of what was once life on Mars? He will talk about these and more in an out of this world presentation you don’t want to miss! ✨🪐💎⛏️
We will also be doing our Halloween party again this year with a potluck (( please be on the look out for a separate email regarding this! )) and costume contest! If you plan to bring a snack, dish, or dessert please see the email that will be going out about the potluck info. For the costume contest our Club President Sherri will be judging & best costume will receive a grand prize from Apple Valley Minerals!👽🎃👻
Please bring in your specimens for Show & Tell!! We would love to see what you have found Rock Hounding, Beach Combing, from Our Field Trips or that Special Collection Piece! ⚒️🪨⚒️ We are going to offer for ONLY RIMH Members to bring in up to 5 Minerals/Specimens to Sell or One Flat (if selling all for one fee, as a flat will count as one item) to down size their collections & give folks an opportunity to grow their’s at the General Meetings.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
We Also encourage you to bring in Minerals/Specimens/Crystals to Donate. There will be our usual Free Raffle! If you would like to bring in Donated Minerals or Crystals for this that would be greatly appreciated! This is a great way to spread minerals/crystals to folks that may not have a collection or would like to expand their collections! This is a Free Raffle & a way to engage with one another! Spreading Mineral Love!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
