Right to Grow Film Club: Foragers

You are invited to join the Right to Grow Film Club!

Date: Wednesday 5th February, 6pm-8pm (Film begins promptly at 6.30pm)

Location: Squash Cafe, Windsor Street, L8 8EQ

Whilst the days are short and our gardens and growing spaces still in hibernation, The Right to Grow Campaign in Liverpool are organising a film club to bring together local growers and residents. Each month we will host a different screening with a free meal and discussion.

To kick off the series we will be showing Foragers by Palestinian artist Jumana Manna.

Foragers depicts the dramas around the practice of foraging for wild edible plants in Palestine/Israel with wry humor and a meditative pace. Shot in the Golan Heights, the Galilee and Jerusalem, it employs fiction, documentary and archival footage to portray the impact of Israeli nature protection laws on these customs.
