DEI Good Practices Symposium - Feb 25

The Faculty of Society and Culture DEI Committee invites you to take part in a Good Practices Symposium this February.

DEI Good Practices Symposium

Wed 5th Feb, 10am

Roscoe Boardroom, Egerton Court, 2 Rodney Street, L1 2UA

This will be a chance for members of the faculty to come together and share the various ways in which we embed, foster, and promote diversity, equality and inclusion in our work.

This symposium aims to:

• Create visibility for the amazing work that we do around EDI
• Create a ‘good practice’ sharing platform
• Get a picture of the areas covered in our various EDI work and identify areas of strength for us as a collective
• Identify potential collaboration opportunities
• Introduce the EDI Lab, which will support our EDI work.

This is an informal symposium. Therefore, we are more interested in the narrative, not the structural element, of what you have done. So, no additional work is required to present your work at this symposium.

Everyone is welcome to contribute. A guide to the items that you can share can be found in this link EDI Activity Audit Template 2022-2023 (1).xlsx. This is a live document. Some colleagues have filled this out already and we welcome those colleagues to please come and ‘share’ at the symposium. If you have not done so, please share your work within that template.

To help us maximise the use of time during the symposium so that everyone has the opportunity to share their work, could you please let us know if you wish to present by a simple email: ‘Yes, I wish to share some of my work’, to by the 31st January. Could you also fill in the Audit template above, if you have not already done so. Thank you.
