About this Event
There’s no doubt that Riesling has a major PR problem. It is undeniably the most popular grape variety amongst wine experts, but many consumers mistakenly write it off as a sweet grape enjoyed only by college kids and those with unrefined palates. The truth is that the Riesling grape itself is not sweet at all. In reality, it is one of the most technical, structured, and elegant grape varieties in the world. Like so many grape stories, the history of Riesling is tarnished by politics, mass-production, and economic collapses. Today, finding an outstanding Riesling is easy for those who know what to look for.
Join us for a casual seated wine class where we will discuss the history of this misunderstood grape, taste an incredible range of its expressions, and learn how to find those life changing bottles with our Wine Director, Erin Dudley.
Included with your ticket:
- Seated wine class with certified sommelier and Neighborhood Restaurant Group Wine Director, Erin Dudley CSW
- Tasting of six fine Riesling wines from responsible sources
- Small serving of artisanal cheese and bread to accompany your tasting
- Discounts on bottle purchases of all wines tasted
