About this Event
Morocco is made for big rides: wide open plains, long ribbon roads, dusty tracks, and mountain passes that stop you mid-climb just to take it in.
Local cyclist, SSCC ride leader and bikepacker Valerio will share the story of his bikepacking trip through the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, following a route that moved from busy towns into wilder places, from Amazigh villages to the bustling city of Marrakesh. The journey blended long days in the saddle with big storms, local hospitality, and the simple rhythm of travelling by bike with everything strapped to the frame.
Hosted in Station South's Main Hall, the evening includes a screening of the short film Back to the Atlas, followed by a talk with extra photos, b-roll, and more detail about the trip. The second half opens into a Q&A on the trip and anything bikepacking-related, before finishing with a social alongside Station South Cycling Club.
