We all know trucks have huge blind spots—right in front, beside, and behind—that can completely hide motorcycles? In New Zealand, many crashes happen simply because riders are unseen.But it’s not just visibility — impairment from alcohol or other factors can drastically slow your reactions and decision-making on the road.
As part of Motorcycle Awareness Month, join us for a free event on Thursday 18 September at 5:30 pm at NZ Motorcycle Centre to learn:
*Where motorcycles are most at risk around trucks.
*How to stay visible using lane positioning and following distance.
*How impairment affects your riding — test it out with our “beer goggles” activity.
Food and cold drinks will be provided, with barista coffee and hot chocolate available to purchase.
