This January, the table is set for a deeper look at one of Oregon’s most quietly influential vineyards, Ridgecrest Vineyards.
Planted by hand in 1980 on what many believed was too far west for Pinot Noir, Ridgecrest became the founding vineyard of what is now the Ribbon Ridge AVA. Windswept, foggy, and cool, this “vineyard on the edge” challenged conventional thinking and ultimately helped shape the future of the Willamette Valley.
The evening unfolds over five courses curated by Chef CJ, each paired with Ridgecrest wines that reflect the vineyard’s long-standing philosophy: restraint over excess, balance over power, and wines built with time in mind. Pinot Noir anchors the lineup, supported by select bottlings that show the breadth and evolution of Ridgecrest today.
Jon Foster, Ridgecrest’s General Manager and Sales Manager, will share the vineyard’s story, from its early days before consultants and consensus, through the Chehalem years, and back home to Ridgecrest with a renewed focus on cellar-worthy wines rooted in place.
Expect a five-coursed dinner experience centered on food, wine, and the perspective that comes from nearly four decades on Ribbon Ridge.
Seats are limited. Advanced reservation required.
