Join the Hub City IMRG group for a ride down through Virginia horse country and rolling hills of the eastern edge of the Shenandoah Mountains. Our ride will take us to the southern tip of Orange County, Virginia ending at the sleepy little town of Gordonsville which is located about 20 miles NE of Charlottesville and 65 miles NW of Richmond. This town has a rich history and was founded in 1787 around a tavern that hosted locals the likes of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Major General Marquis de Lafayette. There will be plenty great scenery and backroad riding along the way ending with lunch at The BBQ Exchange @ 102 Martinsburg Ave. around 1pm. This is a BBQ destination spot and if you’ve never been, it’s a treat. The ride will originate at 9:00am from the NEW Sheetz at 601 California Dr, Leesburg, VA with KSU promptly at 9:30am. We will stop for fuel near Washington, VA before making our final push down to Gordonsville.
