Six teens. One fatal roller coaster. One chance to live again. Ride the Cyclone, the cult hit musical, comes to SCAD. Don’t miss the ride!
About this Event

The St. Cassian Chamber Choir of Uranium City, Saskatchewan, had big plans. Then the Cyclone roller coaster jumped its tracks.

Now the six teenagers find themselves stuck in a strange limbo run by The Amazing Karnak, a fortune-telling machine with a flair for the dramatic. He’s offering a deal: one of them can return to the land of the living. To decide who, each choir member gets one song to tell the story of the life they lived, or the one they never got to have.

Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell’s cult-favorite musical is wickedly funny, unexpectedly tender, and packed with a score that swings from pop anthems to cabaret to punk. It’s a show about what we leave behind and who we might have become, and it’s become a favorite of audiences who like their musicals a little strange.

Directed by Christopher Murrah, with music direction by Kevin Stites and choreography by Alijah Santiago, this SCAD production features students from the School of Film and Acting.
