Ride the Cyclone Auditions

Abbey Players is elated to announce auditions for our spring musical, Ride the Cyclone! Auditions will be held on Monday, November 16th from 6-9 pm.
In this funny, moving musical, six teenagers from a Canadian choir die in a freak roller coaster accident. Then, they awake in limbo with the chance to return to life.
Prior to auditions, please fill out this form (https://forms.gle/j7Fhnf61BdtuxCQM7), which includes a tentative rehearsal/performance schedule. We will hold auditions on a first come, first served basis. You should not have to stay during the whole audition window.
For auditions, you will be asked to do the following:
1. Sing roughly 1 minute of a musical theatre song, ideally one sung by the character you're auditioning for. Unless you bring your own track and play it on your phone, singing auditions will be a capella. We will also test your vocal range by asking you to sing scales along with the piano.
2. Read a scene/monologue from the show. These do NOT need to be memorized. We will have copies of the sides at auditions, but, if you'd like to work on a scene ahead of time, you can find them linked in the audition form. Choose 1 scene and 1 character to read for. If there are other characters in the scene, we will read for them.
