UTC-06:00Location
CAF Rocky Mountain Wing | Grand Junction, CO
This is your chance to fly in the largest single-engine bomber of World War II, an 18,000-pound powerhouse driven by a 1,900-horsepower radial engine and built to carry a 2,000-pound bomb load. The TBM helped turn the tide in the Pacific, and our aircraft has an incredible story of its own, from Royal Navy anti-submarine missions to leading a flyover for Queen Elizabeth’s coronation jubilee and even appearing in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It is also one of only seven aircraft ever listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and one of only two still flying regularly.
Every ride directly supports our mission to educate, inspire, and honor through aviation history, while keeping this remarkable aircraft flying for future generations.
Seats are limited, so reserve your 45-minute Living History Flight Experience today with a $825 donation. Follow the link in the tickets section of this event, or visit https://www.rockymountainwingcaf.org/buy-a-ride.html
