Ride for 745 - Marty Martin Memorial Run 2026

Each year the Tri-County Ohio Roughnecks MC sponsors the Ride for 745 in memory of Deputy Marty Martin.
Join us for a guided scenic ride throughout the area with stops at local businesses and to pay our respects to Marty. All net proceeds will go to benefit Vested Interest in K9s (www.vik9s.org).
Registration is $15 per rider and $5 per passenger and will begin at 11am at the Ugly Mug in Canal Winchester with kickstands up at 1pm sharp.
Deputy Marty Martin was killed in an automobile accident on September 06, 2008, at approximately 1230am. Marty and another deputy were traveling on I-71 in south Columbus when their unmarked vehicle hydroplaned and overturned in heavy rain. Marty was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Marty was thirty-five years old.
During his ten years with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Marty worked in the Jails of the corrections division, drove a cruiser in the patrol division, and was last assigned as a detective in an undercover unit.
Marty’s prior service included the Kirkersville, Worthington, and the Mifflin Township Police Departments as well as being a K9 handler and nationally recognized K9 trainer.
