This introductory one-day course, provides an overview of the NEC4 contract suit by explaining how the contract supports collaborative transformation and best practice at every project stage.

The course will cover the following:

NEC characteristics and philosophy

An overview of the general principles of:

• Collaboration

• Early Warning

• Programme and Time

• Compensation Events

• Quality

• Other provisions

• The documents forming the contract and how the standard form is amended for use in Australia and New Zealand.

Steve Evans FRICS is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Builder, Engineer and Arbitrator – specialising in construction contract and dispute avoidance and resolution. Steve has extensive experience in delivering a range of construction contract training in Australia, New Zealand and the UK and he remains the only NEC accredited trainer in Australia.
