Rick Rushing III & The Blues Strangers are a blues-rooted trio out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, led by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Rick Rushing III. A fixture in the Scenic City music scene, Rick brings together the raw emotion of the blues, the swing of jazz, the grit of rock, and the groove of rhythm & blues into a sound that feels both deeply familiar and completely alive. Kin to legendary blues shouter Jimmy Rushing of the Count Basie Big Band, Rick carries that lineage forward with a voice, guitar style, and stage presence built for real rooms and real people.
