About this Event

Harvard Book Store is excited to welcome Rick Riordan—author of five #1 New York Times best-selling middle grade series including, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and the Trials of Apollo, the Kane Chronicles, and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard—and Mark Oshiro—award-winning author of the young adult novels Anger Is a Gift, Each of Us a Desert, and Into the Light, and the middle grade books The Insiders, You Only Live Once, David Bravo, and Star Wars Hunters: Battle for the Arena—for an event celebrating the second installment in their Nico di Angelo Adventure series The Court of the Dead.


Ticketing

Tickets for this event will go on sale Saturday, June 28th at 12:00pm ET.

Tickets include admission for two people and one hardcover copy of The Court of the Dead autographed by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro.

Seating is general admission. If you are purchasing a ticket for a child ages 12 and under, the second ticket holder should be an adult.

Note: Books bundled with tickets may only be picked up at the venue the night of the event, and cannot be picked up in-store beforehand. Ticket holders who are unable to attend the event will be able to pick up their book at Harvard Book Store up to 30 days following the event. This offer expires after 30 days. Please note we cannot guarantee signed copies will be available to ticket holders who do not attend the event.

Additional signed copies will be available for purchase at the event. This event will take place at Back Bay Events Center, located at 180 Berkeley St, Boston, MA. Doors to the venue will open approximately at 6pm. The presentation will begin at 7pm.


About The Court of the Dead

Bios

Rick Riordan, dubbed “storyteller of the gods” by Publishers Weekly, is the author of five #1 New York Times best-selling middle grade series with millions of copies sold throughout the world: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and the Trials of Apollo, based on Greek and Roman mythology; the Kane Chronicles, based on Ancient Egyptian mythology; and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, based on Norse mythology. Rick collaborated with illustrator John Rocco on two #1 New York Times best-selling collections of Greek myths for the whole family: Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods and Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes. Rick is also the publisher of an imprint at Disney-Hyperion, Rick Riordan Presents, dedicated to finding other authors of highly entertaining fiction based on world cultures and mythologies. He lives in Boston, Massachusetts with his wife and two sons.

Mark Oshiro (they/them) is the author of the young adult books Anger Is a Gift, winner of the 2019 Schneider Family Book Award, and Each of Us A Desert, an NPR Best Book of 2020. Their middle grade books include The Insiders, a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year; and You Only Live Once, David Bravo. Mark also contributed a short story to the Star Wars anthology Empire Strikes Back: From a Certain Point of View. When not writing, they are trying to achieve their life goal of petting every dog in the world. Mark is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
