Join us as we honor the 14 brave crewmen who lost their lives on the flight deck, along with all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. This special tribute recognizes the legacy of the USS Nimitz—one of the largest warships in the world and a cornerstone of America’s naval strength.
Named after World War II Pacific Fleet Commander Chester W. Nimitz and commissioned in May 1972, the USS Nimitz remains the oldest active U.S. aircraft carrier in service—a symbol of resilience, strength, and enduring commitment.
