Richard Turgeon is a Marin County-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist leading RT3, a tight new trio built around his original material. A prolific independent artist, he’s released multiple acclaimed records that have earned international press and regular airplay, including SiriusXM, with music also featured in indie film soundtracks.

His work has drawn attention from artists he grew up on—Pavement co-founder Scott Kannberg shared his cover/video of “Date with IKEA,” and in 2024, Turgeon played drums for Donnie Emerson, one of his longtime musical heroes.

With RT3, he’s returned to a stripped-down, guitar-driven format focused on strong songs and live energy. Backed by bass and vocal harmonies, the band delivers a tight, dynamic set that builds over the course of the night, balancing punchy rockers with more spacious, melodic moments.

RT3 is currently playing select shows across San Francisco and the North Bay, with a focus on sharp performances, growing their audience, and becoming a regular presence in the local scene.
