The Sacramento Aquarium Society is excited to host Rit Forcier at our next general meeting. Richard "Rit" Forcier has been keeping tropical fish for over 55 years, including managing 60 tanks for a decade before retiring. A past president of three aquarium societies, he has shared his expertise on Livebearers with over 36 clubs across the USA, Canada, England, Scotland, Mexico, and Holland.
He co-founded the Northeast Livebearers Association and served in various leadership roles with the American Livebearers Association. Rit was awarded the Betty Meuller Honor in 2006 and named a Fellow by the American Livebearers Association in 2021.
In his free time, Rit also umpired high school, college, and adult league baseball games.
