Richard Anderson live at The Jovial Sailor, Ripley on 2nd April

Richard Anderson is an acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter with virtuoso guitar style and powerful vocals who plays captivating, literate originals and some well-chosen covers. He visits The Jovial Sailor for the first time and it's his third show working with Barons, an award-winning independent pub company. The Jovial Sailor is a charming historic pub in the village of Ripley between Woking and Guildford. Richard plays two sets, with an interval, from 7.30pm. Entrance is free.

Although he has many years of experience of playing live, Richard relaunched his music career in late 2024 and is now considered to be one of the U.K's finest upcoming solo artists. Richard's acoustic guitar playing sets him apart from many solo artists and his outstanding live show has led to over 50 bookings in just over a year, including a North Wales tour. He is currently making his third album in Brighton with acclaimed record producer Al Scott (Oysterband/Levellers).
