Ribbon Cutting | The Love Lock Structure in Downtown Tiffin

The Seneca Regional Chamber & Development Ambassadors and Downtown Tiffin are excited to invite the community to a special ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the installation of the new Love Lock structure located at the East Green at National Corner adjacent to the Splash Pad. The event will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 4 PM and is open to the public.
The Love Lock structure was created through the efforts of the Downtown Tiffin Design Committee as part of Downtown Tiffin’s ongoing beautification initiatives, including the Best Foot Forward Program and the Golden Broom Award. These programs encourage businesses and property owners to maintain attractive storefronts and contribute to the overall appearance and vibrancy of the downtown district. The Design Committee also helps organize Downtown Clean Ups and other aesthetic improvement efforts throughout the community.
Inspired by the Pont des Arts Love Lock Bridge in Paris, France, as well as similar installations found in Main Street communities across the country, the Downtown Tiffin Love Lock structure gives couples an opportunity to symbolize their love by attaching a lock to the structure and tossing the key into a designated key box attached nearby.
The structure was generously donated by Price Manufacturing and will serve as a unique new attraction and photo opportunity in Downtown Tiffin, featuring the East Tower as a scenic backdrop. Located near the amphitheater, the East Green has become a gathering place for couples and families attending concerts and community events. It also holds special meaning as the location where couples were married during the memorable 2024 Total Eclipse celebration.
Community members are encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting, celebrate this new addition to Downtown Tiffin, and learn more about how Downtown Tiffin continues to create welcoming and memorable public spaces for residents and visitors alike.
