A Journey of Rhythm, Flow & Community!!
We invite you into a heart-centered, improvisational drum, sound healing and ecstatic dance journey exploring the transformative power of collaborative rhythm, movement, stillness, and flow.
This gathering is an expanded version of our weekly Sedona Drum & Healing Circles, welcoming both familiar faces and many new participants into a shared field of sound, presence, and play. The evening will conclude with DJ InnerMix taking us from acoustic, communal sound into an electronic dance journey.
All ages welcome. $15 Suggested Donation to cover rental costs and for helping to make this gathering possible. Kids 16 and under are free.
Bring your drum, acoustic and sound healing instruments and LED flow toys. Or simply bring yourself. Beginners and seasoned musicians alike are supported here. This is not a performance space, but a listening and responding space, where sound medicine and community emerge together.
Feel free also to bring your own snacks, non-alcoholic beverage, or even a labeled potluck dish to share.
The Sedona Drum & Healing Circle has grown organically from a shared desire to explore rhythm as a pathway into Flow, a state of deep presence, creative focus, and nervous system harmony. Our gatherings are rooted in heart-centered collaboration, improvisational drumming, acoustic instruments, neutral, non-judgmental listening, and respect for silence, space, and transitions. We have refined this flow over several years with our core circle, and we are excited to open it wider.
The experience is shaped in the moment by the instruments present and the willingness of participants to listen as much as they play. Alongside drums, we warmly welcome sound-healing instruments such as singing bowls, handpans, flutes, bells, didgeridoos, shakers, and voice. These elements help balance energy, soothe the nervous system, and support smooth transitions between rhythmic intensity and stillness.
This is an open, evolving exploration and an invitation into creativity, imagination, and embodied presence.
Please note, with a larger group, we ask everyone to play with awareness and restraint, listen deeply before adding sound, respect pauses and transitions and allow guidance if offered.
This helps maintain the integrity, safety, and magic of the experience for all.
Listen as much as you play. Less is often more. Silence is part of the music.
No performance. No pressure. Just Flow.

Doors Open: 5:00 PM. Arrive, settle in, connect, tune instruments, share food, and ground yourself.
5:30 PM – 8:15 PM: The Drums and Sound Healing Journey unfolds in three natural waves, each with rhythm, stillness, and integration. Transitions are gently cued through sound rather than instruction, allowing the group to move together intuitively.
WAVE ONE: Arrival & Attunement
5:30 – 6:25 PM (55 minutes)
5:30 – 5:40 Opening & Orientation
5:40 – 6:00 Rhythmic Build – Slow intentional layering of rhythm. Emphasis on listening and the collective pulse.
6:00 – 6:15 Collaborative Sound Bath – Drumming comes to a rest. Singing bowls signal a pause. Rest, receive, or add precise non-percussive sounds.
6:15 – 6:25 Heartbeat Return – Frame drums reintroduce a steady pulse. The rhythm rebuilds calmly and cohesively.
WAVE TWO: Deepening Flow
6:25 – 7:15 PM (50 minutes)
6:25 – 6:50 Rhythmic Exploration – The groove deepens and shifts. Improvisation and playful dynamics.
6:50 – 7:05 Sound Healing Integration - Another natural landing into bowls, flutes, voice, and spacious sound. Rest or contribute.
7:05 – 7:15 Gentle Re-entry – Frame drum rhythm returns to lead an intentional and grounded build.
WAVE THREE: Peak & Completion
7:15 – 8:15 PM (60 minutes)
7:15 – 7:45 Peak Rhythm & Collective Groove – Powerful high energy, joy, movement and connection.
7:45 – 8:05 Final Sound Bath & Release – Drums fade and sound healing instruments close the arc. Deep rest, integration and nervous system settling.
8:05 – 8:15 Closing & Transition – soft tones fade. Gratitude. Space cleared for dance.
DJ InnerMix begins at 8:15 PM
