Rhythm of Your Soul Workshop

We will guide you through a journey of breath voice rhythm melody and relaxation through singing chanting drumming and the handpan. You will learn or reconnect to the fundamentals of what music is all about and how you can connect to and express your own Song of the Divine! At the end you will enjoy a relaxing Reiki infused sound healing. The workshop is led by Virpal Kaur (Reiki Master & Sound Healer) Daniel Hirtz (Breathwork & Drum Circle Facilitator) and Eric Olson ( A Multi-Instrumentalist Sound Healer). Together they have decades of experience teaching guiding and facilitating experiences around the world.

Discover the enigmatic essence of rhythm and drumming knowledge that eludes traditional education. These profound insights will empower you to fully participate in drum and music circles regardless of your prior experience. Decades of teaching and practice have culminated in these revelations offering a transformative perspective on collaborative music-making for seasoned musicians as well. Learning will be hands-on with everyone receiving a drum. Together we will establish a strong foundation for your drumming abilities.

The handpan (also known as the hang drum or tongue drum) is a fun and easy to play instrument that combines both rhythm and melody. Each instrument is designed to be in one key so you can’t hit a wrong note! After learning and practicing some rhythm fundamentals on hand drums we will explore techniques on the handpan. We will then move into a fun improvisational session which will include handpans drums and perhaps other instruments such as flutes.

Chanting sacred mantras and singing sacred songs is a powerful practice for personal healing and spiritual awakening offering a way to return to the deepest most mindful place within. The vibrations of sound help calm the mind cleanse emotional energy and heal the body. Together we will sing and chant to foster inner peace deepen self-awareness and create a sense of connection to the present moment. (No singing experience necessary). These practices can be both individual and collective as they help to strengthen our connection not only to higher consciousness but also to community by fostering a sense of unity collective awakening and shared spiritual growth.

In a time when the world is going through so many changes and shifts we could all use a space to process our emotions with community through sound singing and connection to come back to the light within ourselves. No matter what is going on in your life right now we hope you walk away inspired relaxed and feeling more grounded by connecting to the present moment.

What to Bring: Cushion or backjack to sit on items for sound healing (pillow yoga mat blanket eye cover to allow yourself to be immersed in deep relaxation) closed water bottle snacks to share anything else that helps you to feel cozy.

Virpal Kaur - Reiki Master Wild Woman Circle Leader Rainbow Warrior

As a traditional Reiki Master from the Usui lineage with an ancestral background of being a life-long seeker of truth (a Sikh) Virpal Kaur is a guide and facilitator for those on their healing journey back home to themselves. Her passion is to uplift members of her human family to live authentically in personal sovereignty and in alignment with their highest truth.

Virpal supports her community through 1:1 Reiki Sessions (in-person & remote) Reiki Trainings Women’s Circles Reiki Sound Healings Plant Medicine Ceremonies and hosts workshops. She is currently reconnecting with her harmonium and ancestral roots of Kirtan as well as building bridges with commUnity.

Virpal’s mission is to remind all of her relations of our connection to each other to our beloved Mother Earth and all of the beings on this planet so that we can come back into sacred reciprocity.

Eric Olson is a lifelong musician sound healer breathwork facilitator and yoga teacher. He has traveled extensively and learned to play many instruments from around the world. These include many stringed instruments flutes handpan gongs and more. He enjoys sharing these instruments in song circles ceremonies kirtans and sound baths. His passion is to teach music and help people to awaken to their own unique creative artistic flow.

Daniel Hirtz is a visionary musician teacher and seminar leader who has dedicated his life to fostering connection well-being and inner peace through music breath and energy work. Born in Germany he moved to US in 1992 and has established himself as a performer drum teacher drum circle facilitator and teacher of breath awareness. He produced the “Breathe for Peace – The Sound of Oneness” album the “Breath is Your Friend Course” and developed “Holistic Tuning” an integrative method for deep relaxation mental clarity and energy activation. “There is nothing better than when we come together as one and deeply feel a living connection to each other.
