Cooperstown Concerts is excited to present an extraordinary afternoon of live music with Rhythm Future Quartet, a dynamic foursome of gifted musicians from New England who strive to keep the spirit of Gypsy Jazz alive in the world of contemporary music. The concert takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, 3:00 PM at Fenimore Farm & Country Village in Cooperstown.
Gypsy jazz—also known as Gypsy Swing or Hot Club-style jazz—originated in Paris during the 1930s by the legendary Romani-French guitarist Django Reinhardt and French classical violinist Stéphane Grappelli, and remains the first major jazz genre born outside of the United States.
Rhythm Future Quartet, named for a Django Reinhardt tune, offers up a newly minted sound, influenced by the classic Hot Club of France, yet wholly contemporary. Founded by violinist Jason Anick, the quartet performs dynamic and lyrical arrangements of both Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions that draw upon diverse international rhythms and musical idioms.
With Henry Acker (guitar), Bruno Peterson (guitar), and Greg Loughman (bass) rounding out the quartet, the band is dedicated to expanding the boundaries of a vital musical genre.
TICKETS – Adult $30
