Remy Kouakou Kouame returns to ATOMIC Ballroom for a special workshop designed for dancers who want to push their movement, musicality, and expression further. Rhythm, Flow, and Freedom will focus on Solo Dancing and Lindy Hop through Remy’s unique perspective, giving dancers the chance to train with one of the world's most dynamic and inspiring dancers. This workshop is designed for Intermediate/Advanced dancers who want to challenge themselves, sharpen their dancing, and explore new ideas in both solo movement and partnered swing.
The day begins with Solo Jazz, where dancers can dig into rhythm, movement, individuality, and musical expression. Then we move into Lindy Hop, where the ideas we started in solo jazz expand into partnership, flow, and connection. This workshop is about more than learning moves. Before Saturday’s workshop, Remy will also be teaching a special Friday Night Swing Shift class at ATOMIC Ballroom on Friday at 7:45 PM in the Main Ballroom. The class is called Lindy Hop Rhythm & Groove, and it will be open to all levels.
This class is meant to be fun, welcoming, and full of feel-good Lindy Hop energy. Remy will focus on reinforcing the basic rhythms of Lindy Hop and helping dancers find their groove. It is a great chance to get in the room with Remy, loosen up, connect with the music, and kick off the weekend with something approachable and exciting.

Prerequisite: This workshop is intended for Intermediate+ Lindy Hoppers who are already comfortable with 6-count and 8-count Lindy Hop basics, swingouts, circles, Charleston basics, and partnered rhythm changes, and who can social dance these comfortably with a variety of partners. Dancers should also be comfortable learning in a faster-paced workshop environment.
