From the delicate beauty of Respighi’s Gli Uccelli (The Birds) to the fiery brilliance of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, this concert ignites the stage with dynamic energy. At the heart of the program: the thrilling and imaginative Re(new)al Concerto for Percussion Quartet and Orchestra by acclaimed composer Viet Cuong, whose music has been described as “alluring” and “irresistible.”
