Rhubarb at the Triangle is 10 years old this month, and we're delighted to celebrate by hosting a book launch for our very own Lauren K. Nixon. There will also be our usual open mic, and most likely some cake! New readers always welcome.
About our guest reader:
Lauren K. Nixon is an indie author and poet. A Midlander by origin and a West Yorkshire resident of over twenty years, she has made the rhubarb triangle her home.
She is the author of several novels and novellas, including The Last Human Getaway and The House of Vines, five poetry collections – Wild Daughter, Marry Your Chameleon, umbel., Sing Madrigals (The Mysterium), and her brand-new Old Gods and Hedgerows (Yaffle Press), along with several plays. Her poetry has appeared in Black Nore Review, The Ekphrastic Review, Lit Shark Magazine and Crow & Cross Keys, and she has recently contributed to Safety in Numbers, a poetic conversation between 200 women curated by Gill Connors.
When she’s not writing, Lauren can be found lurking around The Bradford Playhouse like some sort of theatre cryptid, pootling around the garden or library, researching weird stuff, or annoying her cats.
