RH | Being Her Sister Circle: When the Holidays Don’t Feel So Joyful
About this Event
When the Holidays Don’t Feel So Joyful
The holidays are supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. But what if they don't feel that way?
Maybe someone is missing from the table.
Maybe your family doesn't gather the way it once did.
Maybe divorce, separation or a complicated relationship changed the traditions you knew.
Maybe your children are grown and creating traditions of their own.
Maybe you're caregiving when you'd rather be celebrating.
Maybe finances are tight.
Maybe family gatherings bring more tension than comfort.
Maybe you're lonely—even when you're surrounded by people.
Or maybe nothing is necessarily wrong. The holidays just don't feel the way they used to.
December's RH | Being Her Sister Circle makes room for the experiences that don't always fit neatly underneath Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Because two things can be true.
You can be grateful for who's at the table and still miss who's not.
You can enjoy parts of the season and still wish other parts were different.
You can love your family and still need boundaries with them.
You can appreciate old traditions and recognize that some traditions need to change.
You can experience moments of joy while still carrying grief.
And you don't have to pretend to feel merry just because the calendar says you should.
This isn't about fixing the holidays, forcing gratitude or finding a silver lining.
It's about making room for what's true.
For what has changed.
For what you miss.
For what you need.
And perhaps, for what you want the holidays to become now.
There is room for all of it here.
I especially like that last turn. We're not ending the premise at “the holidays are hard.” We're gently opening the possibility of agency and new meaning without forcing women to “move on.”
What You Can Expect
We'll gather in an intimate circle where women can share, listen, reflect, connect and simply be witnessed.
Your evening may include:
- Honest, compassionate conversation and sisterhood
- Guided grounding and gentle restorative practices
- Journaling and personal reflection
- Meaningful ritual and moments of connection
- Space to share, listen and be witnessed
- Tea and time together
- A joyful Being Her Celebration before we leave
No special wellness experience is necessary. Everything is invitational. You are always welcome to participate in the way that feels most comfortable for you, and sharing is never required.
About RH | Being Her Sister Circles
One monthly gathering. Different conversations. Space for the many seasons of being a woman.
Being Her means making room for all of her—the woman who is grieving, healing, changing, surviving, questioning, resting, rediscovering and becoming.
RH | Being Her Sister Circles are intimate monthly gatherings centered around the real experiences women are navigating while continuing to show up for everyday life.
Each month brings a different conversation. Some may meet you exactly where you are. Others may not be yours right now—and that's okay.
Come for the conversation that speaks to you. Come as you are.
There is room for her here.
RH | Being Her Sister Circles are wellness and community-support gatherings. They are not group psychotherapy, mental-health treatment, or a substitute for professional medical or mental-health care.
