Rewriting Rivers - Creating Your River

About this Event

General Information:

Rewriting Rivers is an initiative to rewrite the stories of local rivers in Worcestershire. This is part of ELP2 which is run by Shropshire Wildlife Trust.

This is our second in person event, which follows a similar creative pattern to our first activity which was a guided storywalk.

In this event we will be there to prompt you to how you feel about and interact with your local rivers, creating a dialogue in the form of artwork. This can be any art you feel you want to make, whether that be a drawing, a story, a song, or a poem!

This is a FREE event, you just need a ticket to attend as there is limited space.

If you are under 18 attending this event you will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Date and Time:

This event will take place on Saturday 27th June and is from10am-2pm.

Location and Parking:

This event will be held at Worcestershire County Cricket Club in the Beard Terrace. The entrance to this is the green building on New Road and there will be someone on the door to check you in. Free parking is available either in the Premier Inn or in the Graham Hick Pavilion Car Park (just to note this car park can be shut at any time); when you enter the venue you will be able to input your registration.

What will you need to bring:

Yourselves! We will be providing all the equipment necessary.

Equipment:

We will be providing pencils, pens, crayons paper - in a variety of colours.

Refreshments/Allergens:

There will be refreshments available so please let us know if there are any allergens we need to be aware of.

Photography:

There will be someone taking photos/filming on the day but no identifiable shots will be taken. These images may be used on our social media page but will remain anonymous.

You are very welcome to take photos and videos for personal use. However, please be respectful of others and avoid sharing images on social media if they include other attendees, particularly children.
