Rewoven: Unlikely Jewels: History, Charity and Creative ReUse

This special creative workshop begins with an inspiring illustrated talk by Maggie Hague and Trisha McGarry, exploring the fascinating history of costume jewellery and her unique role in supporting the hospital charity Love Musgrove. Her talk offers a behind-the-scenes look at the hidden world of costume jewellery, including unexpected discoveries, unusual pieces, and her experiences working with auction houses.
Following the talk, participants will take part in a 2.5-hour hands-on workshop led by artist Trisha McGarry, transforming costume jewellery into a one-of-a-kind art piece. The session concludes with a beautiful, finished artwork for you to take home; an object that carries both personal meaning and creative expression, inspired by the stories and materials of costume jewellery.
