This spring retreat is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the wild rhythms within and around us.About this Event
Join me Sunday, May 3rd for a deeply nourishing day in nature — Rewilding at Ray Roberts, a Connecting Roots Retreat.
We’ll begin the morning with a mindful 1.5–2 mile walk through the forest, letting fresh air awaken our lungs and the sounds of nature gently guide our pace. There’s no rush — only space to notice the trees, the birds, the shifting light, and the many wondrous beings who call this land home.
Our walk leads us to a peaceful lagoon overlook — one of my favorite sit spots — where we’ll settle into stillness and observe the forest in its resting state. After sharing our reflections, we’ll return to camp to craft our own native North Texas seed bombs using the park’s approved blend. You may choose to scatter them in the park as an offering back to the land or take them home to plant your own pocket of wild beauty.
After lunch, we’ll move into an all-levels slow-flow yoga session inspired by wildlife and the natural world. The day gently closes with forest bathing — immersing ourselves in the healing presence of the forest through our five senses — followed by a grounding tea ceremony and community reflection.
