Join us for a FREE, family-friendly event to learn about life during the era of the American Revolutionary War.See militia and Continental soldiers in their camps as well as a Hessian and a British camp.
Ladies will be demonstrating basic laundry and sewing projects.
The Bee Sisters will have plants to sell and will discuss
domestic herbal medicine and the importance of kitchen gardens.
There will also be a display of early surveying equipment
and engraved powder horns.
Cissy Shull of the Winchester-Frederick Co. Historical Society will be cooking colonial dishes in the fireplace of the cabin. Ladies of the Fort Loudoun Chapter of the DAR will be sharing activities for children.
Activities are free and open to the public, hosted by the
Winchester Frederick Co. VA 250th Committee,
Winchester - Frederick Co. Historical Society, and the
James Wood, II Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution.
