About this Event

Most thrifted ceramics end up on a shelf, in a donation bin, or forgotten in the back of a cabinet. In this workshop, we'll give one a second chance.

Together, we'll transform thrifted mugs, vases, plates, and other ceramic treasures into something entirely new using paint, color, pattern, and imagination. We'll be using specialty ceramic paints, and once your piece is baked at home after the event, it will be dishwasher-safe and ready for everyday life.
As we create, we'll explore what bringing something back to life means—not just for the object in front of us, but for ourselves. What deserves another chance? What parts of ourselves are ready to be rediscovered, reimagined, or seen in a new light?

Glowfish workshops are small, creative gatherings built around the idea that creativity isn't something you earn—it's something you uncover. The focus isn't on getting it "right" or creating a perfect finished piece. It's about following curiosity, making something with your hands, and finding meaning in the process.

No prior experience or artistic skills needed. Truly.

How we'll spend our time

• A warm, low-key start to help you settle in and feel comfortable
• Thoughtful prompts centered around renewal, reinvention, and the beauty of second chances (sharing is always optional)
• A simple introduction to ceramic painting techniques and materials
• Plenty of open time to create, experiment, chat, reflect, and follow your ideas wherever they lead you
• A relaxed wrap-up where you can admire what you've made, connect with others, or quietly head out into the rest of your day
