Reverse 4s KOB August 22nd, 2026
Hi everyone! I’m excited to host another volleyball tournament 🏐
Here are the details + sign-ups below. Let me know if you have any questions. Aiming for a BB / BB+ level, but all levels are welcomed.
My #1 priority for these tournaments is good vibes and sportsmanship. These events are meant to be welcoming, competitive, and most importantly FUN. This is not the Olympics 😅
Please treat others the way you’d want to be treated. Poor sportsmanship may result in a reminder, and continued issues could lead to restrictions from future events. Accountability and genuine apologies always go a long way, and I will absolutely acknowledge that.
At the end of the tournament, there will be an anonymous feedback form available if there’s anything you’d like to address.
Examples of poor sportsmanship include:
• Condescending behavior toward teammates
• Aggressive or disrespectful language toward teammates or opponents
• Excluding teammates by only passing to your partner
• Dishonest ball calls
If needed, you’re always welcome to call me over to ref or help handle a situation. That’s what I’m here for.
I’m really grateful for everyone who continues to bring positive energy, encouragement, and great sportsmanship to these tournaments ❤️

Rules:
* Sets to 21 points, cap 23
* Every 7 points switch side
* Call your own doubles and net. Opponent can call your doubles and net. Replay if you don’t agree
* All crosses that are interference are point to the other side, especially is there is someone at the net and you cross near them.
* For safety all nets are net. After you hit, even if the ball is down and if you touch net. Then that is a net, the point goes to the other team
* Men can only attack from behind the 10 ft line. If in front of the 10 ft line, the ball must CLEARLY go in an upward trajectory
* Men can only block men. No fake blocking women, pretending to jump, intentional sounds
* No open hand receive on serves, even if clean
* No open hand receive on 1st touch, even if clean (reason because the ball stops being clean as time goes on)
* You may open hand receive and double on hard driven balls
* No open hand tips
* During blocking, no breaking wrists.
* If the ball goes out of court please remember to grab it after game so no one’s balls get lost
* All sets over the net, must be squared, no doubles
* If you run into another court to pass a ball(regardless if the other court is playing or not), the ball is dead. Point goes to the other team
* 1 hand open sets to teammate is good. Any unintentional sets to the other side is not allowed.
* If you are setting your hitter, and the set is almost over the net, as long as your hitter gets a touch on it, it is good. (If your hitter does not get a touch, then that would be an unintentional setter dump, which is not legal)
If you do not agree with how I host my tournaments, please do not sign up.
The top 3 priorities you can expect at every tournament I run are:
1. Sportsmanship — this will always be taken seriously.
2. Maximizing game time — with minimum downtime
3. Prizes — at least 25% of all players will win a prize. For example, if there are 40 players, 10 players will leave with a prize.
Everything else falls below these priorities.
I’m always open to feedback. However, if a suggestion isn’t implemented, there’s usually a reason behind it or I simply don’t have the time to make that change. Not every suggestion will be adopted, and that’s okay.
