Revel Rockstar is Albuquerque’s only Karaoke competition that uses a LIVE BAND as the backing track. Albukaraoque, New Mexico’s premier live karaoke band, has been performing live-band karaoke since 2019 and has 100+ songs to choose from. The winner of Revel Rockstar takes home a $500 grand prize, second place wins $300, and third place wins $200.
How It Works
Every Wednesday between September 18 and October 9, twelve Rockstars will take the stage at Revel ABQ to perform with the band. Just three contestants each night will move on to the Finale on October 19 on the big stage at Revel ABQ. Winners will be selected through a mix of audience voting, and selections by the band and the Revel ABQ team. Rockstars can only sign up to compete once during the competition period.
Each night kicks off with open mic karaoke, when anyone can sign up to sing a song on the list. Sign-ups for open mic karaoke will occur on site at Revel ABQ the night of the show.
How to Sign Up
Pick a song from Albukaraoque’s list of 100+ songs and email [email protected] with your name, song selection, and preferred date (September 18, September 25, October 2, or October 9). Please indicate if there are any dates when you are not available to perform and confirm that you are available to perform at the finale on October 19. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

Can I sing a song that isn’t on the list?
No - all singers must pick a song from Albukaraoque’s songlist. However, during the finale, the band will learn up to one new song for each contestant.
Can I sing with other people?
For the Revel Rockstar competition, only individual singers are allowed to compete, but duets or groups are allowed to perform together during open mic Karaoke..
Can multiple contestants sing the same song on the same night?
Yes.
Is there a fee to participate in Revel Rockstar?
No.
Is there a charge at the door to watch Revel Rockstar?
No.
Can I play an instrument as part of my Revel Rockstar performance?
No. To keep an even playing field and streamline the show, Rockstars can only sing.
