This eight-week immersive burlesque series, led by Cleo Qupid, offers a supportive and creative space to explore confidence, character, and embodied self-expression. Burlesque is about more than performance — it’s about presence, play, and stepping into identity on your own terms.Over the course of the series, participants will explore movement and musicality, persona and identity, and the development of body awareness and stage presence. The experience also includes work with props and costuming, with the option to participate in a live showcase at the end for those who choose to perform.
This is not a drop-in class. It’s a committed, exploratory journey designed to build trust, confidence, and community over time. The series is inclusive and open to all bodies, genders, and experience levels. No prior dance or performance experience is required.
Classes run on Mondays from May 4th through June 22nd, from 7:00–8:30 PM. The optional live showcase will take place on Friday, June 26th. All sessions are held at The Portal in Utica.
The investment is $300 for the full eight-week series. Enrollment is intentionally limited to maintain an intimate, supportive container.
