Everyone is welcome to join in some free Colonial era fun! Hosted by the Town of Wappinger Recreation Department. Saturday, September 12th from 1pm - 3pm is Living History Day at Carnwath Farms Historic Site and Park. Along with live Revolutionary War reenactments and colonial era games, the Wappingers Historical Society is debuting our FREE 55-page guidebook, Wappinger Revolutionary Roots, History, Heroes and Hidden Places, which includes a fold-out map of 35 colonial era historic sites in the Town of Wappinger. The guidebook features biographies of 30+ Patriots who served in Brinckerhoff's Dutchess County Militia, 2nd Regiment and who are buried in cemeteries within the Town of Wappinger. Pick up your free guidebook and map at this event and then follow the new roadside driving trail so that you, too, can discover the Revolutionary War history in your own back yard!
