Officially, official! We have a date and times. We are meeting up Friday at the High school for the football game vs Springfield. Saturday, doors should open around 1pm. till 8ish.
Saturday the idea is picnic at the park. Open house feel. Very casual. There is a large grill, cornhole, basketball courts. Fireplace inside. Seats about 125, tables inside. We can put pop up tents outside (can't stake down) in case of rain for grill area. Kids are welcome.
Originally an idea floated around about doing an old school field day. I am very open to it, would be good laughs. I'll wait for weather to plan a bit more.
I know between kids, and work schedule, etc. events can be tough. Please spread the word near and far.
This is a bring your picnic, drinks event. Between dietary needs, expense and literally not knowing how long folks can stay or how many will attend very tough to plan. Please note, I've been told no alcohol. However, I've also been told if its in a Stanley etc and its kept in car and no evidence is on property and we behave, its no problem. I'd like to be welcomed back in the future! BTW a gas station is across street.
