Reuben and the Dark is a Canadian indie folk-rock band led by singer, songwriter, and multi-faceted artist Reuben Bullock, preacher’s son whose introspective lyrics tackle grief, love, and human resilience.
Formed in Calgary, the revolving artist collective is known for emotive storytelling, soaring harmonies, and atmospheric soundscapes featured in major film and television projects.
Key Releases: Debuted with Funeral Sky (2014), followed by albums like Arms of a Dream (2018), un | love (2019), and In Lieu of Light (2023).
Notable Collaborations: Teamed up with the Bullhorn Singers, a traditional powwow drumming group from the Kainai Nation, bridging cultural boundaries through shared musical projects.
