RETRO POP STUDIO: A 4-Week Kids Art Workshop (Ages 7-12)

Retro Pop Studio is a four-week art series where young artists will create four bold, retro-inspired projects influenced by the vibrant 70s, 80s, and 90s..

Each week, students will explore a different medium while learning foundational art techniques in a structured and supportive studio environment.

🪩 Week 1: A shimmering disco-inspired painting using acrylics, where we’ll explore color theory and form.

🛼 Week 2: A bright and playful roller skate collage focused on pattern, layering, and creative composition.

📻 Week 3: A 3D boom box sculpture built from recycled materials, experimenting with texture and bold surface design.

🌈 Week 4: A dreamy lava lamp illustration using colored pencil and watercolor while learning about light, shadow, and contrast.

Throughout the series, students will work with painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, and mixed media — building confidence and creative problem-solving skills while completing artwork they’ll be proud to take home.

Lauren Ashleigh is a professional mixed media artist with a decade of experience teaching children. Class sizes are intentionally limited to ensure individual attention, clear safety structure, and a positive, encouraging space where kids can feel safe being themselves.

Spots are limited. Ages 7–12 only. All materials included.

Dates: Every Wednesday in May (May 6th, 13th, 20th, + 27th)
Drop-Off Time: 4:30 PM
Pick-Up Time: 6:00 PM

Tickets must be purchased by a parent or legal guardian.

After ticket purchase, you will receive a student information + parent consent form that must be completed prior to your child’s first class. This form will include emergency contact information and any relevant medical or allergy details.

This class requires a minimum of 4 young artists to bring the creative energy to life. If we don’t reach that number, unfortunately the series will be postponed, families will be notified in advance and full refunds will be issued (or you can use it as credit towards the next classes!)
