Madeline Rothschild’s ‘Retreat in a Day’ will bring together the elements of physical exercise with creative expression and relaxation, all fuelled by nourishing, home cooked food, including a two course lunch, homemade cakes and unlimited tea, coffee and flavoured waterMaddy wants to help you achieve a complete physical and emotional recharge by helping you to disconnect from daily stressors and engage in a day of self-care and relaxation. With yoga, art therapy and a calming sound bath this retreat is a gift to yourself
Maddy teaches functional yoga for ageing well, helping her clients develop greater mobility and flexibility, building strength and confidence. The introduction of art for this special day will deepen the emotional and meditative experience by engaging the body and quieting the mind in a focussed, creative activity. Maddy has joined with local portrait and still life tutor, Sue Tilbury, to include a 2-hour art workshop. All equipment will be provided, and you will have a set of crayons and sketch pad to take home
And meditation practitioner Lorena Rodrigo will also be here, employing Tibetan singing bowls, shamanic drums and rain sticks as a means of achieving meditation for deep relaxation at the end of the day and giving you an opportunity to explore a deeper level of consciousness
