After an inspiring 46-year career at Maryland Legal Aid, Gregory Countess, Advocacy Director for Housing and Community Development, is retiring! Maryland Legal Aid invites friends, family, colleagues, clients and community partners to join us as we celebrate and honor Greg's extraordinary dedication as a leading advocate on behalf of low-income clients and communities throughout Baltimore and beyond.

Greg’s work has profoundly improved our city and state, fighting tirelessly for those too often ignored, overlooked, or silenced. His unwavering dedication to justice and housing equity has not only transformed countless lives but has strengthened our communities, giving voice and power to those in need. We owe him a deep debt of gratitude for his fierce advocacy and the deep respect he has shown every client and community he has served.
